The six drawings created for the billboards show a sequence of possible interactions by different protagonists for an unspecified public space. In a form open to association the actions reflect on Freud’s psychoanalytical approach, in which the individual’s attempt to achieve wish fulfillment creates a continual tension between it and the social framework. Obedience and disobedience, power, desire and sexuality each try to gain the upper hand. “...Psychoanalysis depicted people as beings with countless wishes which they are hardly capable of fulfilling; it provided a concept for an image of human nature essential to mass consumption.” (Eli Zaretsky: Freuds Jahrhundert [Freud’s Century])
