Art in the public space leaves the protective sphere of reserved areas such as the museum or gallery and exposes itself to a public it usually does not have. For the Kunsthaus opening, the Kunsthaus, together with the Bregenz Kunstverein and allerArt, Bludenz, has organized a project consisting of numerous works throughout the city limits of Bregenz. Artists create sculptural works visible from afar, or react to specific sites or structures in a quiet, at times subversive manner.
Larger projects will be at strategic points such as:
- The round-about at the city entrance/exit towards Lindau (Bodensee)
- Archaeological excavations of the Roman villa near the City-Tunnel
- Kornmarktplatz (square in front of the State Museum, Theater, and Kunsthaus)
- Leutbühel (city center) - Lake promenade in front of the Kunsthaus,
etc.
