Johannes Ötzbrugger - La Logistille | Concert at KUB
Monday, October 4, 7.30 pm
Austrian lutenist Johannes Ötzbrugger began playing the guitar in early childhood. Already as a teenager he got to know the lute - an encounter that gave him access to even more intimate soundspheres... Named after the fairy Logistille from the opera Roland by Jean Babtiste Lully, probably the most influential composer of French Baroque music, the concert program at KUB focuses on the music of Robert de Visée, the court guitarist and theorbist of the Sun King Louis XIV. As a contrast, partly improvised Spanish and Italian music for Baroque guitar can be heard.
