The Hungarian art historian and curator Timea Junghaus has been the director of the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) in Berlin since 2017. Her research focuses on cultural difference, colonialism, and minority representation. Junghaus has been recognized for her curatorial work, including The Hidden Holocaust (2004) at the Kunsthalle Budapest and the first Roma Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale (2007). In 2008, she was awarded the KAIROS European Culture Prize by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S.
