With its atmospherically open spaces, Kunsthaus Bregenz offers ideal conditions for a new way of thinking about and presenting art. The building designed by Peter Zumthor prompts a shift in how we perceive art. Art is not just viewed here; it is vividly and physically experienced. Precious Okoyomon, Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, ███████, as well as a project by Michael Armitage with Chelenge Van Rampelberg and works by the late Maria Lassnig take up this approach in 2025. They invite us to rethink the relationship between humans and the world.

Małgorzata Mirga-Tas’s art is dedicated to the world of Roma culture. Kunsthaus Bregenz is planning a joint exhibition in cooperation with the Maria Lassnig Foundation in Vienna and the Nairobi Contemporary Art Institute (NCAI). The NCAI was founded in 2020 by the British-Kenyan artist Michael Armitage, with whom the KUB audience is already familiar through his impressive exhibition in summer 2023.

In summer 2025, works by Michael Armitage himself, the Austrian...

Cloud Castle

11 | 01 – 11 | 01 | 2025

Cloud Castle is an innovative platform located in an imaginary place. This site, a floating “castle in the air,” symbolizes the idea of a procedural, immaterial space that makes it possible to experience art in its most ephemeral and at the same time most compelling form. As a living, experimental space, Cloud Castle combines the potential of four institutions—Kunsthaus Bregenz, Bündner...
